Well, after spening the last yr and a half trying out different motors including a celica GT4, toyota supra turbo and a corvette C4 manual, i've decided to come back to the ownership of a 3.0l Z4.

Didn't think i'd miss it that much so annoyingly gave a load of bits away when I sold my last one.

Anyway, with the prices these things are going for now, this one seemed too good to pass.

Great spec including Sat Nav, PDC, extended leather, xenons etc.

Few little niggles to sort out, main one being an 'iffy' roof motor, which I knew about, so will need to have a look at that......maybe wait till summer. Still works and goes up and down, but needs a little 'help'.
I've already prepared myself for fitting a new motor, but could it be low fluid/fluid leak?!

Also recently bought an E28 525e, so won't have to use the Z everyday like I did before, good thing really, i'd forgotton how firm the ride was!!

Anyway, no decent pics at the mo, but these will have to do for the minute!

Definitely can't tie me down to one genre of car, I also own a 1941 Ford Deluxe business coupe, which I bought earlier the same day I sold my last Z....

Welcome back

Roof motor - I think all those effected hope it might be 'something else'. Several have lubricated all the moving joints in the roof system to good effect but inevitably its the dreaded roof motor which needs replacement. :(

Figured as much, but went there expecting it to be completely inoperable and was pleasantly suprised when it kinda worked :driving:

welcome back, did you not want to upgrade to the more exclusive coupe?

 Was contemplating a Z4MC, but just couldn't warrant the extra cost. Besides, i've been missing top down motoring, though I am one of those wimps that needs a nice warm sunny day to put it down

Welcome back to the Z4 fold. Nice Roadster. Could have gone for a MR, if it's a slightly more compliant ride and good old fresh summer air your after. :D
