Exactly, its the way you drive a car not necc the numbers on a fact sheet - I still think I could take an M in my 35i - but never found anyone to take me on yet....0-60 would be close, but then I think an M would pull away at 80 plus....but with an auto DCT against a manual, the sprint would be quicker in the E89....

Nice choice of car/colour combo All Pina

Eh? So my offer of a track meet didn't count? :?

If the track has a straight to blast down by way of a drag race - yup!

Thanks Nick - have seen some pix of White on White - sub zero :D

It's going to be an interesting evolution for me :

Roadster S was quick from an old world 3.4l lump, Alpina fettled.

4MC was slightly quicker and a lot smoother from the last of the 6 pot M3 engines

35is has lots of tech and trickery plus overboost - but "odd power delivery" ??

Right - literally just back from the dealers and a 30 mile cross country installation lap :D :D :D

Here are some quickie iPhone pixs to keep the pack at bay. Will do some artsy fartsy shots over the weekend when I can find a good location and get the proper camera out.

First impressions are REALLY good - boy has this car matured. I am in an ex BMW staffer with 4k on the clock so nicely loosened up.

Having seen your rather beautiful melbourne red 35is, I am starting think again about exterior colour!!!
I only saw the Melbourne red in an M3 which looked rather insipid.

Still I will stick with space grey since I think red might be a too in the face for my neighbors who might be then tempted to key it.

Still very jealous that I don't have guts to go for that colour.

Hi Braingirl - I think you should always go with your instincts. I have never been a red car person - but this was too tempting in the flesh. Melbourne is the right side of "flash" in my view but I was dangerously close to saphire black with red kansas. Either way, you are going to get attention
