Ayrton Senna

Sorry, I've read a couple of books and watched all his races. He was a complete twat and a menace on the track. It's a miracle he didn't kill several of his fellow drivers with his petulant attitude and dangerous driving. It's no surprise that he killed himself at a corner he knew to be a potential killer,but he was the worst form of adrenaline junky who felt that if he was not going outside his known comfort/ability zone, then he wasn't going fast enough. His luck had to run out eventually. A highly skilled driver , no question, but a great one, most definately not.
 
bigshurv- i agree not the greatest but defo one of the top three!!!!!!!!!!!!! he was amazing!
 
No doubt, he was absolutely amazing behind the wheel of a racing car, fast everywhere, amazing car control, but I cannot put him as a great driver. He was too flawed for me. I'm old enough to have watched him race several times, a very talented man. BUT, incredibly complicated and not a little f*cked up. As a driver , very good, as a man, no thanks........... Its a long way down from the top of this fence....ahem..... :oops:
