Axle Stands

Does anyone know the correct location for axle stands to be placed.
I am aware of the jacking points and I have tha adapter but not too sure where to place the stands once its off the ground.
I am swapping out my springs in the next week or so.

I put them under the jacking points on the sills. I always place a couple of loose ones under other sturdy looking parts of the chassis just incase it falls, gives me a chance of getting out if it drops.

I only use the adapter when using the jack, the axle stands have a crescent shaped claw that sits around the jacking points which doesn't seem to damage the plastic jacking points.
