Aviva Drive App.

One of the bosses at work was on about getting the vans fitted with a driving monitor system similar to the Aviva drive app. So to see what it thought of my driving I downloaded the app. and tried it. I got a score of 8.5 and this said I was entitled to a discount. To cut a long story short the quote for the Z4 was a good £80-£100 less than anyone else. Definitely worth a shot to reduce your quote..

Do you turn it off when you want to have a spirited drive?

Once you get your score it makes no difference, plus you can select which journeys to count. Once you get your discount you can delete the app.

is the Aviva price, with discount, better value than another insurer that doesn't offer a discount?

My Z4MC insurance is no cheaper if I go for one that offers a 'driving app' discount.

I got a quote from Aviva before my CK renewal came through as an idea of cost, Aviva was £263, CK was £396, they could not get close, tried comparison sites and direct line, Adrian Flux but nothing as cheap as Aviva.
