Aux port.... part number please!!

dont suppose anyone can help me with the part number for the AUX port please..... searching seems to bring up a brain freeze of information..... im aware i need to murge the pins into the existing block as i have nav and bluetooth, seems nice and easy, so really looking forward to this install.... if anyone can help id really appreciate it :-) thanks guys!!

The aux jack's do give poor quality sound, I was never happy with the bass response! So I sold mine ages ago...
 
Yeah terry it does seems to be abit hit or miss, some people get great sound and others get s**t sound .....
I've decided to concentrate on non performance mods for a little bit.... So looking forward to starting with something nice and easy!!

Well this must be in the top10 of easy mods ;)
 
was thinking about installing it on the actualy stereo facia next to the right hand selection knob.... think this would be a nice spot for this but as i havent had the stereo out im under whats behind this part.....
 
Be careful Byron, IIRC it's a big circuit board behind the facia, so drilling into it could be fatal to your stereo.

I put my last one in the little panel above the ashtray where most people do. If I was doing it again I'd either put it in the ashtray, or in the glovebox.

update ; installed this item today, slight pain in the ass but got heir in the end, very slightly chewed up the edge of my trim which annoyed me on vent removal but its very minor!!
The sound quality is perfect, sounds as good as a CD to me, no white noise ect ect, finally, i can now stream my favourite radio station straight to my aux port!!! lovely!!!
Choice fm (london) let the rap sessions fill my car with wonderful sounds!!!! Really enjoyed this relaxed install, need something else now of similar ease!

If you mean aux port I managed to bag a brand new official BMW item from a member here...:

For the 3.5mm unit to iPhone I went with a Belkin piece with gold connectors . The sound is perfect.
