AUX out location?

Votes/preferences for the aux cable out location?
Current options are:
- Ashtray
- Panel beneath aircon controls
- Glovebox

TBH where ever you think is best for you but my choice would be the glovebox as I hate cables showing.

+1 for ashtray... easy to hide when not in use, easy to install, easy to get to iPod to change tracks

Panel Can't see it! Cable to Ipod Job Done and a little mount you can control to hearts content.

Ashtray has to be open, which doesnt look as sleek and glovebox, well, it's in the glovebox, so open close when driving etc, not good.

I put my Aux in the glovebox (in the M3) and there's enough gap at the edge of the box to run the cable out and hide it under the various bits and pieces to get it to the centre console without being too visible, connect the iPod and voila.

I tried the ash tray but it was a nightmare after a while and I gave up on that plan...the Zed might be much easier (I hope)

I fitted mine under the air con controls. It's sleek because you can't see it and mine is on the drivers side, so you can put your ipod/phone under the handbrake with the cable running alongside and that way it doesn't get in the way of the gearknob. It's safer/easier to switch songs that way too.

I thought about the other options, but....

Ashtray - I didn't want to have the ashtray open all the time just so I could listen to music.
Glovebox - Thought it would be awkward to have to lean over to open and plug it in everytime I get in the car. Also dangerous if I had to change track while driving.
