hi guys

I have ordered my mini aux cable and discovered how to take my vents and ashtray out. I am thinking of setting my ipod up so it sits in the ashtray and can be charged from the cigarette lighter (i have ordered an ultra small one) However, what I am wondering is what control do u have of the ipod once installed. I only have the basic stereo and no controls on the steering wheel. Any info on how u navigate through would be appreciated. Was actually thinking of maybe even getting a shuffle so I could shut the ashtray and see nothing. Any thoughts!!

you have no control using aux in, just stick the ipod on shuffle or create playlists, its what i do with my iphone. i phone is too big to sit in the ash tray as i have mine cased, but i have it siting in the cubby hole in front of the storage between the seats.

At least it charges and has line out for aux, plus it can control your iPod. I guess it could be routed into a locked glove box.
That is a really neat gadget ! do you reckon they are available in the UK ?

Mik...the Apple stores stock them...at least my local one in Solihull does. I'm going down that route once I've fitted an aux lead

I just got this...

Works really well. And it's fully iPhone compatible.
