Getting brave some what prematurely I decided my car was in need of an aux input. My car is an 03 with bluetooth and cd changer. I have got the radio out and now am staring at the back of the unit. The plug which was for the cd changer(or so I thought it was) is actually for the bluetooth and when I unplug it I have no sound, from Bluetooth. Can anyone advise me as how to get round this as I don't want to lose Bluetooth. Now the cd changer is not in the spot I believed it was im at a loss as to where it is now.

Cheers guys thanks for helping

The cd changer is in the right side spot and Bluetooth is in left side. I don't want to lose Bluetooth but the aux doesn't work in the right side spot any clue? Can I condense the wiring down to one plug ?

Thanks all

The Aux wiring need to be combined with the existing. There are free pins in the existing plug so the wires just need to be transferred.

I presume the aux you bought is already in a plug.

Take a note of what holes they are in and then using a pin or small screwdriver press down the little tab on each contact in turn and you should be able to pull the contact out.

You then push the contacts into the existing plug and the same position the came out of. From memory you need to slide the cover of each plug before you can remove/insert the contacts.

Hi again I have taken the aux wire apart but there are wires in the corresponding slots of the original plug. Can I splice the wires together?

Hi there's two plugs in the back left of the radio. I have taken the connector out and the aux works fine. The problem I have is the points where the audio wire should plug into the original connector is full. When I un plug them the Bluetooth sound goes. Any clues would be great.

Thanks for all your help
