I was really lucky as I managed to plug in the AUX lead without removing the fascia vents and head unit. I just felt about through the air con removable panel and gently inserted it. Good times as I was in danger of damaging the vents in my desperate effort to remove them. Here are some shots of the finished dual project.
The AUX input lead was originally just a straight lead about a metre long so I employed the thermoplastic nature of the lead to make it curly and IMHO a lot cooler.
Put the kettle on.Get your straight lead and wrap it tightly around a biro or something similar. Pour boiling water over the lead whilst it's still wrapped around the biro making sure it gets good and hot. When you have empied your kettle grab the wire wrapped biro and stick it in the freezer for half an hour. That should convince the plastic molecules to stay where they are for the forseeable. And there you go. I'm not going to warn you about the danger of boiling water. As literate adults you should know it's hot.
Right then, My 82mm carbon fibre badge Here it is and I welcome comments. Do you think it works?
And here is a close up.
