Automatic Lights

Hi

I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem as I'm currently experiencing. I have my lights set to "Automatic" or the 'A" symbol on the light switch and they do come on when the light level falls below a certain level (such as going dark or driving through a tunnel) but they never turn themselves off when the light level returns to normal.

They will reset themselves when I turn off the ignition and restart the car. Is it me, am I missing something because every other car I've had with automatic lights will turn themselves off when the light level returns to normal. Plugged in Carly and get the following error:

009CF9 Description: Errors in the LED / Dwa-led defective.

Any help would be appreciated. The car is a 30i, 2010 E89.

Are you sure they 'never' do?
I have noticed that mine take a lot longer to turn off than my more recent BMWs.

Hi

Yes I’ve checked it after 5 mins and they are still on - would a faulty sensor or switch come up on Carly?
