Autoglym SRP, EGP, and UDS

I bought all 3 products from Halfords when they were 3 for 2 offer. I never used EGP and UDS before. For best result, should I first use SRP, followed by EGP, and finally UDS?

The last treatment was AG Aqua Wax before winter last year. My Zed really needs a decent polish/wax ASAP. How long should I expect to clay the whole car (I never did it before)? I also have AG clay kit at home.

Depending on how bad your paint is i would say at least 2 hours, its a very easy process which gives great results.
A little tip put the clay in the airing cupboard or on top of a radiator for a hour while you washing the car this will make it nice and supple ready for use .Also a empty multi surface spray bottle filled with plain water and maybe a small drop of washing up liquid to use with the clay bar.( washing up liquid is very bad for cleaning cars etc but as you will be stripping all the old waxes etc and recoditioning the paint it wont be a problem)

Detailing world is a great place for advice etc. I would do SRP then EGP then UDS. Have you looked at poorboys, chemical guys products instead... Zaino is lovely stuff, so far Ive used Z2 and Z8.

From start to finish can take at least a full day if not longer if you machine polish. I spent 4 hours today on mine and the wheels and claying had been done before.

Rinse, pre-wash, 2bm using megs gold class, rinse, demon shine (as rinse aid), dry with waffle towel and QD, black hole with DA, then spray and wipe over with Z8.

Then had to the missus freelander.....

Ibuprofen and diclofenic and a hot bath

EGP and UDS are more or less the same thing. UDS is simply for darker cars. Both are specifically designed to bond to SRP. No REAL need to apply both but I guess it could be done as people often apply two coats of EGP so one coat of each may be just as good....or better

You MUST leave each coat of UDS/EGP to cure before buffing off (which can take up to an hour). This is the main reason I am moving away form these products (although they are very good IMO)

Set aside 2hrs for claying.

I only washed my Zed this afternoon (from 14:45 to 17:15). I need to find a cloudy day and start from early morning.

I really think zymol Auto Wash is better than BMW car shampoo. I can wash the whole car with a bucket of water (8 litres) and 1 capful of zymol wash, but 1.5 buckets with BMW shampoo.

I agree ,and it feels smooth as silk when you go over the panels,the bmw shampoo has no feel to it.
