I know some of you like your Audis and the TT in particular. So I thought you'd be interested in this first drive of the TTS. It's getting expensive - £40k for what is really just a Golf R.

I shall refrain from any further comment.... :D

We paid £41k for our S-Tronic TTS back in july 2012 brand new and I agree I thought it was expensive for a TT but its now done 62k miles and we have grown to love it a hell of a lot after being a little underwhelmed at first and as the miles have piled on it just seems to have got far better to drive, we keep considering whether to go for the new one or flick over to a 435d x drive with us doing around 30k miles a year because the TTS can be a thirsty little thing if you keep your foot in.

Thanks for sharing the review

Like most other Audi's - 'Fast but not that exciting'. seems to be the general opinion.

You forgot well built & great interior's Dan  otherwise most Audi's summed up in one sentence

I agree Andy the interior on my MK1 TT was lovely. Still miss that cabin after 7 years.

Our TT with options before discounts was a 38k car :o It is alot of car mind you as Andy says build quality laughs in the face of BMW and everything feels and looks great. Its a very capable car and i am sure its faster point to point than my z4 on roads. And that's mostly due to the fact it dose everything so well and hides the feeling of speed from you. I have to be so careful in it!! The fact it dose everything so well is very Audi and also a bit boring its a great car but its not fun fun fun car like the zed!!
