Autocar comparison

I nearly got a a 10plate boxster, but was alot more cash for less spec and not a folding tin top....and the new model was due which the porsche dealer denied

I definitely wouldn't be so pro-Boxster if we were talking about the old model. I think the new one is much more desirable.

Still a soft-top, which I know a lot of you E89 guys don't like (and i understand why) but for me I like the soft-top - it's a more authentic Roadster and it's a lot lighter too. The major difference now though is that it finally has the looks as well as the performance and the interior is vastly improved too.

mmm read the review today in the shop (yes tightwad!!) and Autocar didn't really seem sure on what TYPE of car they were reviewing....Out and out track car, road sports car or GT car.

Just seemed to be a review with a pre judgement on the journalists leanings to the Boxster.
