Hi,

Anyone any idea what the problem could be here...

Both the Driver Side and Passenger Side Windows will go down Auto when I click the Window Button, However, the other way round, the Passenger window wont come up :(

Any info would be great...

Thanks,
Tom

Thats not how it works last week for me...

It only started doing it after I fitted the One Touch Module...Infact just before I fitted it, Basically I disconnected the battery, tried to fit the Module, found I needed to cut wires for reconnected the battery to do it over a weekend instead! The window hasnt worked "properly" since...

I 'think' its set that way as standard - as mentioned its a safety feature.

Disconnecting the battery will have reset it to standard - will need reprogramming by a deal.

That's interesting, I hope other additional programming isn't lost on disconnecting the battery e.g. remote roof operation?!

I had the same issue with drivers side window not auto up after I dissconected the battery. The passengers one seemed to fix itself? Have you had any joy?

Hah - that's interesting. It's def. reverted to OEM standard UK spec.
I don't think BMW will have programmed it to do as it's not an approved UK modification, so I guess and Indy did it. All other programming should remain locked despite battery removal, but perhaps whatever the Indy did was less stable.

When I fitted my Reinhold it has a habit of locking the door on drive off, did it for a few weeks on an doof an nver since so settled down, but I do think these settings are rather volatile.

If BMW will do it let me know, but expect a £40 bill

Sytners sorted it out for me on my last Z. Said it was the safety feature but could be changed.

Current car auto ups both sides, and mines never been to an indy

Senwar - interesting to know that Sytner did it. I'm with a Sytner dealer too :)

I did however have some vague recollection that it's one of those pre/post a certain age things that later cars can be done, but not earlier

Thats a pain! I could have got them to do it when removing the airbag fault  Its annoying because I always use the easy entry to get in and it opens the window fine but then won't close it!

Another trip to the dealer then!

Interesting - I am sure I've disconnected my battery without losing the passenger window programming that the Indy did :?

Hey guys,

Right the problem is getting on my nerves now!

The passenger window goes down auto without a problem...but doesnt come up! The windows (both sides) also dont come back up on locking the car, as in when i press and hold the lock button on the remote the windows wont come up! Also, there is a problem with the passenger window after closing the roof, once the roof comes back up i need to wait for about 30seconds before the window is operational again, i think this is stopping the rear window from closing up automatically once the roof is up even though the drivers side does (i press the close roof button, this closes the roof, then the windows close too, in my case, the drivers window closes but the passenger window stays down and then takes about 30seconds before i can close it)...

Any ideas?

Post April '04. Hmm, I am that sad yes ...
Ah didn't know that. My previous roadster was June 04 so that fits in too.

Booked in with Sytners in Sheffield for them to have a look now...

But while I'm waiting till Saturday for it to be looked at I have a couple of Questions...

1) Should the Windows of the Roadster close when you press and hold the Lock button on the remote?
2) Could the issue be caused by the fitting of the Reinhold One Touch?
3) Anyone any idea what the wires cut for the installation of the Reinhold do?! Any of them control the Window?
4) Should I remove the Reinhold before it goes to BMW?

Thanks,
Tom

Sure they can, but with it been a 2nd hand car, I could just tell then I dont know anything about it!...

But if its not the One Touch, then theres no point messing with it anymore you see!
