Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me if/how I can get the doors to lock automatically once the car starts moving?

Living in Belfast and the wife driving it you see....

I asked my local stealer and he told me I had to do it through the car menu system....which I can't find...

thats only for the e89 with idrive.

Needs someone with an autologic to do it.

As the others have said, you can get it programmmed by a dealer or indy.

You can also get the cable/software from eBay for £20 and do it yourself, although the software can be a bit of a faff to install.

One limitation is that it does not unlock when you stop the car or switch off the engine, so you need to either use the central locking button or do a "double open" on the door handles.

I lived in Belfast for a couple of years and never felt the need. Then again, I'm not female and I wasn't driving a Z4 at the time!

thats a useful answer as i wondered if mine was broken when it didnt unlock. was frustrating at first but ok now im used to it.

I've coded mine to lock when driving off and auto unlock when I turn off the engine. Used an interface as mentioned above all for £20

Was that using NCS Expert? You can't set auto unlock with SSS Progman :( .
