Auto Lights on Unlock

Afternoon all,

Okay people... how do I do this?
I have just fitted some gorgeous Xenon's on my car and now want 'golf like' auto lights when I unlock the car ( and its dark outside )... surely this must be do-able? all the raw components are there..

Key to unlock the car from a distance
Interior light comes on
Xenon headlights
Daylight sensor for auto lights

all I need is some kind of IM to connect them all together...? any ideas?

I dont think it is possible... i had asked my dealer about it - i mean if a Golf can have surely BMW could too :roll:

There is a nice drive home feature though - once parked up and engine off - if you use you flasher once - the dipped beams stay on for 30 odd seconds to light up your path!

They are called Welcome Lights!

On the new Z4 and newer BMW's they come on regardless of how light or dark it is, as long as the light switch is in the Auto position. Its only the side lights that come on, not the xenon's.
