Got an auto e86 on 93k, shifts ok but not that smooth anymore so thinking about changing the tranny fluid. Heard some horror stories about doing this on high mileage cars, can anyone offer any reassurance or experience on this?
Much appreciated

That sounds too expensive.
I can’t talk for auto boxes but on a manual you shouldn’t pay anymore than £100

Why do you need to replace the plugs? Just new crush washers, no?

My reading led me to believe the plugs are designed for single use, much like the coolant drain plug on the block. For the sake of an extra couple of quid, it's hardly an inconvenience. Plus it meant I didn't have to worry about dropping the drain plug into the oil drain pan
