Audio and Bluetooth Questions

I've recently bought a SDRIVE23i from the estate of a friend that passed away. I've still to receive the owners handbook from the lawyer and while I've managed to work most things out there are still a couple that I'm having problems with. It has a BMW Professional audio system installed (no iDrive) which plays CDs with MP3 files. I've burned a few albums on to a disc and while I can change tracks in an album I'm not sure how to jump from album to album. I can obviously work my way through all of the tracks until I get to the album that I want, but this method is not exactly convenient. Can anybody help? Also, I've managed to pair my iPhone using the bluetooth connection and while I can use the phone it doesn't download my contacts - Apple keeps these on the phone and not on the sim. Does this mean that when making a call I need to use the phone rather than flicking through my contacts on the car's system? Lastly, does anyone know of a handbook that I can download for an E89 without the iDrive? I've got the one with the iDrive.

Stafainn Sorry I cannot help with your enquiry as my car had IDrive, but welcome to the forum and I expect someone will come along soon with the answers you need.

Thanks Mike. Since I didn't specify the extras when the car was new, I've been trying to work out what's standard and what's not. Most of it is quite obvious - Saphire Black with Coral Red Kansas Leather and V-spoke "294" 18" alloys. However, I'm not sure what Coral Red Extended Kansas Leather is. Can someone explain.

Hi Stafainn

Welcome to the Forum

Not sure where this effects you with red leather, but "Extended" means extra leather, in your case the doors and upper dash are leather too, but on the range this doesn't necessarily mean they will be the same colour as your main colour. For example, On the Pure white design pack you get white leather on the doors and across the lower section of the dash & then black on the top of the dash.

N-Joy the car, your gonna love it
