Audi RS3 - UK availability from June

Man this looks a seriously sweet ride. Having had a sweet spot for switching from running 2 cars (the weekend-only Z4 and the Leon Automatic which accomodates the dog), to having a single car, the RS6 was looking a good solution to accomodate both a bloody fast motor as well as one big enough to hold all our luggage plus dog. Now I see there are plans for an RS3 in the summer, based on the A3 sportback but about 1.0s quicker 0-62 than an S3.

All for £40k. Yes thats a lot of wonga for an A3 but its around £10k less than a used RS6.

Cant wait to see one of these babies on the roads.
 
Have you seen the pics ? Ugly as sin. It will be like all other fast Audi's (RS4/R8 being the exception), quick but uninvolving.

For that money, an RS4 or M3 would be a better place for money. If your going practical and getting 4 seats, go really practical surely, or just stick to another hot hatch.

Yes I know I've done the stupid comparison of comparing used with new prices, but 40k on a 5 door hatchback just seems odd
 
I liked the black one i saw in Car but the red one reviewed in Autocar last week was awful....

the magazine photos had the rear of the front buckets finished in body colour red paint ..... yuk...

40k buys a second hand (sorry Approved) AMV8
 
VBH drove it on Fifth Gear tonight. 0-62 mph in 4.6 sec. It is a real bargain for £40k, but still an A3 hatchback.
