Attaching photos to private messages

I wanted to attach a photo to a private message but could not see how to do this.
Is it not allowed, but if it is allowed how do I do it please.

I thought you could but looking now I cant see the upload images link like you get on posts..odd as I'm sure it used to be there. Next best thing would be to use postimages.org upload your pic and copy and paste the hotlink for forums and add it into your pm

This has been queried a fair few times.... you can't attach pictures to PMs the same way you can to posts. If you want to include an image in a PM you will need to use an external image host such as imgur etc and the use the

[img][/img]

tag instead
