Afternoon chaps,

After many trips to my independent mechanic, I’m still not able to resolve this issue. The car will randomly cut out, sometimes won’t start but cranks, when running will bounce the rev limiter on its own while simultaneously the accelerator pedal has no drive, the brakes which are new have almost no stopping power and have a long travel with a spongy feeling.

Please find attached the codes that keep coming back after clearing.

I have a video of the rev limiter bouncing but not sure how to upload a video.

I forgot to mention it’s a 2003 2.5i

The brakes will be that someone has got air into the ABS pump. There's a bleed program in INPA and ISTA that will get rid of them.

As per our previous discussion. Looks like you need a new DME.

Yeah new DME time for sure, all the tell tale codes. My alternator also was on the Fritz even though it tested ok, caused me all sorts of headaches until it was swapped out after I changed the DME.
My 03 has been going through problem after problem, so I know how you must feel.
