Ashtray... Money... Trim =

Fecking annoying that's what!

I keep my toll road money in the ashtray, and when it's too full I tend to get 50p and 20p coins falling kind of behind the push down lid meaning that either the lid wont close properly or as it stands at the moment it won't open all the way. I managed to force the actual tray out through the small opening and I am about to try and tweezer the coins out from their little fallen place.

I tried yesterday, got the tray out, took the screw out and now the trim housing the heated seats buttons etc wont go back into place.

God help me!!!

This may help - I think you need to take the whole section out. Retro fit heated seats

If that doesn't help, do you have a pic of where you're up to / current state of dis-repair?

When you're done, you may want to consider this...
Another small "mod" (ashtray / coin tray)
Haven't had any issues since doing the above and also stops coins going everywhere when I have things plugged into the cigar lighter socket.

I had to remove mine last week to get access to the sport Button, It is tricky to get it back in, I found that if you feed the top section in first so the two locating pin thingys go as far as they can then a gentle bit of shoogling it about and slight downward pressure moves it into place, then just push down on the front most lip of the ashtry pops it back in.
