I have a 2004 Z4 that I have the same problem others have had - Broken Ashtray Lid. The ashtray lid continues to stay open. So to fix this problem, I searhed the threads on this forum and found some great useful info, which helped me get to where I am. I have removed the ashtray assembly, removed the back cover, and now see that I have a broken or mising mechanism to keep the ashtray closed. I cannot find anywhere that shows a part number, or what this mechanism looks like.
I would like to order the part, or send this out to be fixed. Anybody have any info on this? But, I am stuck from here ...
