Are spots on the headlight projector normal?

I’m mopping my xenon headlights today (Mother’s powerplastic 4lights headlight lens restorer) to remove the yellowing that comes with age, and noticed the projector has spots. Is this from the moisture buildup (that I have not been able to avoid), or is this normal? Something else?

I’ve changed the rear headlight housing “door” with brand new ones, added silica packets in the bottom rear of the headlight, to absorb water, and it still builds up. Silica helped for a bit, until they became saturated.

I’m guessing if these are water spots, I’ll need to disassemble the headlight to wipe it clean. Anybody have experience with that?

Looks like water spots. It's loads of fun to take the projector out to clean it. Once you get the headlight out of the car it's pretty obvious what you need to take apart to get the projector out.
