Are 'Black Circles' good, please?

Am going to have the wheels refurbished and need new tyres, too. So, it makes sense to have the first done before the second are fitted. Hence, the question about 'Black Circles'.

I've used them a few times - TBH it's just a tire seller & was fine.

Compare a few & buy on price I reckon, they all just use a fitter local to you. Essentially just tire supply.

Last time I looked they were cheapest (check for discount codes & offers), but the time before it was ASDA I think (I know - tires from ASDA.... what is the world coming to).

somewhat at the mercy of if your preferred garage actually accepts the blackcircles booking.

i had a booking cancelled and rearranged three times, in the end i gave up, got a refund and then just went direct to the garage.

personally, i'd get a quote from black circles, then just phone your preferred garage and get them to match it.

As above - Blackcircles outsource to local fitters so it depends on the fitter, although being a Blackcircles partner offers a certain level of accountability and comeback should things go wrong.

Unless I'm mistaken Blackcircles don't offer refurb, and any refurb company will fit your new tyres so no need to pay Blackcircles to fit them. Just get the tyres delivered to your refurb company. I usually purchase from Camskill in this scenario whose prices tend to be very competitive.

I've had good experiences with them. The tyre prices are good, they collect online tyre reviews, and they can source
tyres that aren't normally in stock locally to me. The fitters change over time so you need to check them out as well.
I've had mobile fitting in the past which is convenient for work (adds a small amount to the price).
Everything is done online, of course (so no ringing around suppliers to check stock/times).

So why not have the tyres delivered to your house and have the wheel refurb place fit the tyres - they will have to take the old ones off to refurb the wheels so let them fit the new ones.

Save a bit of cash I would have thought as the tyre place will charge to fit them from black circles.

They are good but it does depend on what you are buying - my local indie was not much different when I changed mine.

If you choose your tyre brand, find a local place that 'specialises' in the brand, ie are a major agent for them. I found I saved a lot by doing this, as the garages who buy the brand a lot get better discounts IME.

As said, get the place that's refurbing your wheels to fit the new tyres. That way if the wheels get damaged at all the refurb place will fix them.

As a few people have already said order the tyres to be delivered to your house and get the tyre refurbisher to fit them. That will save around £50-60 in tyre fitting charges that will go towards the cost of the refurbishment.

You might have to pay a few pounds to dispose of the old tyres or take them to the dump yourself.

Black Circles are nowhere as cheap as the used to be. Occasionally they have good offers.

Camskill have always been good for me.
ASDA tyres throw up bargains from time to time.

Occasionally National, ATS and Kwik Fit come up with unbeatable deals.

Don't under estimate how physically large 4x car tyres are.

The z4 doesn't have a huge carrying capacity - if you are thinking of delivering them to home & then popping them in the boot to take for a wheel refurb, think again.

Ask me how I know.

Just had my alloys done, ordered the tyres from black circles and took them down to alloy place and they fitted them..... if you fit them later and by someone else they may get damaged. Someone recommend this lot for tyres, cheaper than black circles: https://www.camskill.co.uk/order.php

That's exactly what I did.

Took my wheels for a refurb, had the tyres delivered to home by Black Circles then took them to the refurb place for fitting while I waited then took the wheels and tyres home to fit to my Z4.

The refurb place wasn't keen on getting them delivered there as they'd struggle to match which tyres to which wheels!

Price was very good too.

Recently had fitted 4 new tires , black circles were the best price and availability. There nearest fitting center was 2 miles away, who did a good job no damage to the rims. So all in all nothing to complain about.
