Are all interior cleaners garbage ?

Tried 3 different types, and must be honest it’s hard to see any difference ... apart from the fact I’ve run over the surfaces with a cloth . Or are my expectations too high and interior trim doesn’t come up good from cleaning ?
Tried Meguiars, turtle wax and armour all . All pants .

I found both the mirror and interior wipes work well.

I'd say you're trying things that are too cheap. I've used a few products and they'll help get the marks etc off.

I always use Meguires Last Touch great for wiping over interior plastics dries with a nice oem finish also use it for engine bay a QD a clay lube and a drying aid

My interior is kept very clean so no real stubborn stains to remove usually some mud from my boots if I have been to a race circuit.

The Autoglym Synthetic Chamois is great for wiping over the top of the dash

I use the Autosmart interior cleaner diluted with water, works well and is a LOT cheaper than those "big brands" mentioned.

Help the op by letting him know which products you would use.

I'm extremely fussy and have settled on the Autoglym interior shampoo. Mind you I use it on mainly the lower trim (pedals, scuff plates etc), but rarely on instrument panel trim. FWIW, apparently APC's should not be used on the interior, esp carpet.

Basically, for the hard surfaces, I find just using a soft synthetic chamois or if it needs a bit of a clean, then Meguiars detailer with a microfibre cloth works well. Just need a good temperature.
