Are all E85 steering wheels essentially the same?

Hi all,

Does anybody know if all Z4 steering wheels are essentially the same once all the trim and buttons are removed? I'd like to have my steering wheel refurbished by Royal but at the same time I want to retain my original Alpina steering wheel. To get around this I'm thinking about purchasing a cheap, non MFSW and transferring all my existing bits onto it. Does anybody know if that would work?

Yep should be fine
Just advise jack to trim it to slow for mfsw
