If I decide to sell my (currently being refurbished) 107’s I will start a for sale thread in the appropriate section, but what’s the approximate going rate for a refurbished set without tyres?

If they’re not worth that much I might just Mothball them for the future.

Only bought them this week, and they went off to be refurbished at the weekend, but I picked up a set of 224’s today.

I loved the look of the 224’s on my Grey 3.0i.... and I’m thinking I might go with these on my silver E85 Si instead of the 107’s now.....

I know, Mr decisive

I do love the look of the Manharts, but I’ve decided it’s got to be O.E. BMW and 18’’....and the 224’s are winning, I know they’ve been done to death but so have CSL’s and I don’t care :fuelfire:

You'l be lucky to see £250 for them , very dated design  however i'm feeling generous so happy to give you £300

Hahaha.... love it Andy

Still the best wheels bar none for the Z4 with the 202's as a close 2nd.
I bought a set that had recently been refurbished in gloss black for my Monaco Blue 2.5i that I have just sold with the car.
They had budger rubber on but decent tread with more than 6mm on each tyre - they were advertised at £450 and I paid £400.

Thanks for the input, I’ve just gone with classic bright silver in the end... as my car is silver.

It's helpful to see these numbers. Have 108s on my sapphire black e85 they are fairly tidy but would benefit from a refurb so deciding between 107 or 224 style wheels. There are sets of 107's about that definitely need attention and without tyres and with a £450 asking price, local to me but I thought that was expensive. I can't afford to keep swapping sets etc so welcome any thoughts on a realistic price for such a set. Also, any particular identifying marks/ numbers on the face that I could easily identify perhaps? I know this is very personal but POV on best style/ colour welcome - would the silver ones from true blue be a good option perhaps?
Cheers all

Hi, I’m not certain I want to sell them yet and won’t have them back until the weekend at the earliest anyway.

Having said that, I went for silver as it’s the classic colour for the classic Z4 wheel.

Personally, £450 for a set in need of refurb, without tires, is too much. I be delighted to get £450 for a refurbed set.

If I do decide to sell I’ll let you know as I’ll make a decision this week, but I’m in two minds about moth-balling them as it’s getting harder to find them now.

Part numbers for 107’s are 6758192 & 6758193.... although I don’t think there were reps made of either 107’s or 224’s?

Hi, thanks for the part numbers. I agree regarding the price for non refurbished wheels, there do seem to be some very optimistically priced wheels in ebay!! I am in no rush but will keep looking and maybe we can talk also...i had been thinking about a shadow chrome finish but think the darker wheel might get 'lost' against the black of the car. Silver might be way to go. cheers for now.

So this is how they look.... 8)

It’s hard to capture, but they have a metallic sparkle... they look gorgeous, but so do 224’s :headbang:

The centre caps are resting there.... before any says they don’t fit :fuelfire:

I’d say 107’s needing a refurb are worth £150.

Fully refurbed between £350-450 depending on demand.

I love my 107’s but also like the 108s but not the corrosion. (got a spare set needing a refurb)

I like the 224’s but personally think they best on an M

Out of interest are these E85 only wheels, or do they fit and has anybody got these or their E89?

You’d need some big spacers and I don’t think they’d suit an E89 TBH :?

That is the main reason I asked, I don’t think they would suit either, Just wondered if anyone had tried it, as I’d like like see for sure that it doesn’t.

Yep, agree with you in the price for the 107's needing a refurb. Not sure who is going to spend 400+ then spend on a refurb on top of that then tyres... some very hopeful sellers on bay. Also really like the 108's, but they need some tlc as many seem to

Just bought a set for £300 delivered and had the refurbed and new rubber.

Refurbed would get £500 easy, more on evilbay.

The most in demand wheels for the E85. I had a job finding mine.

£450 all day long imo.

I’d keep them, best wheel for the E85 and iconic.

I’m 90% decided that this is what I’m going to do now... It’s just when I pop out to the garage the 224’s are on the car and look great too... but it’s not an M and, as you say, the 107 is THE iconic wheel.

I’m think I marginally prefer the look of 224’s, and there’s not really a need to mess about with spacers with them... but my car is mint and original (apart from Eibach’s) so it feels right to go with the 107’s :?
