Apologies for the doom and gloom...

About f¥@king time Maniac, been waiting for your apology for days now, you turned my milk sour, and my manhood flacid

Just kidding, cheer up you old git, think of the good things in life and be happy with your lot

Perhaps you have SAD, or seasonally affected disorder?
In which case get a sunlamp or just drop the roof and make the most from your 40k 8)

Any car you buy will have some faults and using these sorts of forums some times make you find faults with your car you did not know you even had, You think of any performance car you like go on a forum for that make and model and you will find loads of people moaning about this that and the other on there cars, My advise is turn you radio up a bit and enjoy your car it will still be worth the same amount when you come to p/x weather it's got no rattles or twenty rattles, I would deffo get shoot of the run flats as soon as you can I think most your rattles will go when you do this. :driving:

I know how you feel when you get "that feeling" about a car. My old TT was great at first, then the MAf went, then the coil packs went, then the dashpod went, then the heated seats burned my arse etc..etc.. Was a proper lemon and I needed to change it to feel better.

Maybe a change is a good idea, who knows you may drive summit else for a year or two and then come back the the fray if/when BMW pull their finger out and sort some of the issues out.

Whichever way you go though, don't worry about the negativity, a lot of us are a bit fed up at the moment, either with the car or with the roads... can totally relate to the instant feeling of wanting a change as soon as you hit a pothole!

Chin-up Maniac, Hope all goes well tomorrow. Hopefully your Zed will be sorted and you can get out and enjoy the lighter evenings very soon!

Its much the same for us all , we plow our hard earned into what we consider a rock solid motor only to find a few negatives eat away & spoil the party ,
In all honesty sometimes less is more & maybe you could go M weekender with a routine daily driver ? or like me a van :P then you really appreciate your german engineering when you take it out

If your not happy then just get rid, I had the same with two Peugeots both new and just cut my losses in the end, felt happier for it. Sounds to me you have a lemon Zed if your experiencing lots of probs.

Tim.

From personal experience I'd happily +1 what Tim has said.

Had far too many issues with my car (prior to my Zed), only 18 months old and Merc wouldn't give a care in the world.

Moved to the light, and haven't been happier!

There's nothing worse than having a car you expect to be problem free give you issue after issue. Hopefully though you get through it, I love your wheels!
