Anyone want to fry an egg on my brake disc?

Interesting - on a previous e46 330d (yr 2000 model) I had to replace both front callipers in quick succession at about 70k miles (in 2010) so I just wonder if these have a bit of a 10 yr usage life ? It was the rubber boots on my 330d ones that had failed causing corrosion around the piston etc

brake calliper seized as your car wasn't driven properly :!: :!: :!: i won't be surprise if your wheel bearing is cooked too and fail in near future
 
Johnny Essex... have a read of this article about warped discs & you'll see in most cases is never really what the problem is...

It's a bit long winded, but had a similar experience as you & my problem was both bedding the discs in & a seized caliper

Would Iron-X not shift the crud from the wheel?

You could have claimed you'd been tracking the car and got the discs hot F1 style :)
