Anyone used Yokohoma Advan Neova AD08R ?

From using on another car, not a zed, the main positive is epic levels of grip in the dry.

The negatives being sometimes scary levels of grip in the rain, especially if the road has standing water, and very low durability.

They're probably best considered as a road/track hybrid tyre, to my mind. Epic dry grip coming at the price of longevity and wet grip.

If they're going on a weekend toy that never sees a wet road, perfect. A daily? I wouldn't.
 
Like above, have experience, but they were on my Lotus Elise with Honda power. Epic dry performance, almost a match for the A048 semi slicks I had on the Exige, but not so great in other conditions. That's not to say they were poor in the wet, but there are better tyres out there. When you factor in cost, and the soft compound wearing rather quickly, and we barely have 2-3 months of decent weather in this country, they start to make less sense on a daily.

Am running Goodyear F1 Asy 3's on the Z4 and find them a very capable all rounder. Much prefer them to the Uniroyal Rainsport 3's I had previously, and far superior to the Bridgestone runflats that came with the vehicle. If money was no issue, I would probably go Michelin PS4's or the Conti 6 on a daily.
 
Have them on my mazzer spyder buddy for the silly grip they have as a semi slick

I've just put a set on recently to try. Having used 3 sets of nankang ns-2rs over the last year or so I can only really compare to those, as my memory of the PSS I had before those is long gone. Anyway I guess it's relevant as I suspect you're in the market for a track orientated tyre and the NS2-Rs get favourable reviews for their price.
Immediate findings were that the tyre is pretty square and slightly wider than the ns2-r. Ride comfort is improved over the NS2-R, the tyre doesn't feel as stiff in the sidewall (at least in vertical compression).
I had the opportunity to take the car to combe the other day which I have done many times over the years, so a fair comparison in lap time.
With the exact same setup the tyre gave me a whole second improvement, which to be honest shocked me quite a bit. I was expecting half a second at most. Initial turn in is far better with the AD08 and they hang on better allowing you to really attack some of the more technical corners. The day was also wet early morning, where I found they gave great grip and let go quite predictably. This behaviour of course requires heat in them though. On the journey there on the road through some small standing water they were not particularly confidence inspiring but then that is to be expected for any of these kinds of tyres.
Wear rate seems to be far improved over the NS2-R also which I'm really pleased about as given the increase in performance I think it is easy to justify the additional cost over the NS2-R.
Suffice to say I will definitely be considering another set next time around, though the urge to see what difference a set of Cup 2's would make is strong, though I suspect diminishing returns.
