Anyone swapped from a 3 series coupe to Z4..

Oh, I didn't get that enfield was referring to driving in the snow. I'd mount snow tires (I've been pricing some used already on M3forum), but I'm in the heart of the city; if it got bad enough, I could just hop on the train to work. Here on the city's north side, the streets are typically plowed within hours of any snow-fall, so it hasn't been an issue.

I know, I know Ricky Boobie. I am actually thinking of getting rid of the Infiniti and using the M Coupe till 2009 and then graduate to a Porsche 911 4S and using it in the winter too.... I think I could get away with it as long as I use Winter tires....

This is not uncommon in my area.

I did all right in my old 911 with just winter tires (no awd). Sames as a fwd, you get the advantage of the engine weight over the driving wheels. Get a lot of odd looks, though.

as i said earlyer in this post i was thinking of swapping my zed for a m3 cab and today was the test drive........... and boy am i hooked on the power, ive driven fast turbo powered cars before but one with so much power and non turbo was fantastic, now i only have to convince the wife its a good move(as it will be her daily driver) and the zeds gone folks.........

hi mike, its a pretty low spec m3 cab,the only reason im drawn to it is its low miles for an m,ive been looking and they all seam to have been traded in around the magical 60,000 mark, just when the waranty is running out and this one is an 03 with 33,000 on it,its carbon black with black roof, black leather,19 inch wheels ,heated seats, sport button,(dont know if they are standard on the m3 but im sure the last few i looked at didnt have it!!) and its not the smg one too!! abet there is no sat nav but the guy said that even came as a £1000 premium on second hand cars............its full bmwsh and millage checked one owner from new all the servicing has been done by the same dealer and its all for what i think is an amassing........£19,500!! is that a deal or what?!!.. go on some one burst my bubble and tell me im getting my leg lifted!!

well no need to panic fellow zedders as the M3 was sold from under me..... a guy from 300 miles away offered the full dealer asking price with out a trade in and paid a deposit over the fone before i got another chance to go do a deal.......... it must have been a real bargain
ah well if its for you it wont go by you!!
another bigger better cheaper faster nicer coloured one will come my way........ sigh!! :headbang:

bingboybri, no luck unfortunately. I suppose that was a really good price but there will be more around if that's what you want.

Personally, I'd rather get an 06 or 56 Z4M for another £7k, I know it's a fair bit more cash but probably worth it in the long run.

thought about going down the road mike but i want 4 seats back.....and some power..... the zed i have is good, its fun but when u want to take or should i say have to take someone somewhere its not a pleasent experience sitting in my work van...... fair enuff its a merc and is speced up to the hilt but its for work afterall and 5 seats or not its not the best place to spend some time..........

I came from an E46 M3 to the Z4MC, love the car but find it hugely compromised for long journeys and I miss the build quality of the coupe so considering swapping back to new M3
