Hi All

I’m looking at getting back into an e89 3.0 auto. Does anyone know the car above? It has a little stubby aerial and some aluminium plates screwed to the pedals (not a good look) but the car seems good and well looked after. It’s in Milton Keynes...

Evans halshaw say it’s their policy that they can’t move on price at all. Has anyone else has this experience...due to ‘every day low prices’ apparently. Sales staff have no powers of negotiation whatsoever...

Cheers,

Russ

I'd tell Evans Halshaw to do one & that it's my policy to walk away from dealers that wont negotiate.

Sorry, I can't help with the car though.

Tbf Ive looked at a few Evans Halshaw cars recently and for big dealers the prices are extremely competetive and px price offered was very fair so I can understand them not moving on price..to be quite honest it saves all the bullshit and Id be happy buying from them if the right car came along

Id agree , they do seem to be very keenly priced for a "reputable" big name & a scroll through their website reveals a massive choice of E89s ( over 60 cars currently available :o ) all consistently well below AUC prices so why miss out on what is possibly a good car at fair money just because the screen price is fixed :?
As for the car itself ? Mineral grey was a facelift colour i believe & the 30i was dropped from the line up so could possibly be space grey ? It looks dark in the pics but the video of it looks lighter ?
2011 60plate must be one of the very last 262bhp na cars available ?
Looking longterm no reason why these won't prove great cars to own with relatively few issues to worry about .
Looks a nice car with decent spec / miles http://www.evanshalshaw.com/search/VehicleDetails/used-car-bmw-z4--automatic-petrol-grey-roadster-YC60SMO/

Dealer price guide on autotrader is 13250 to 14600 so about in the middle. Dont know Evans Halshaw policy but helped a friend buy a Range Rover Evoque from another very largedealer. We managed to get £500 off the price of £25500, and the orange salesman told us that was the biggest discount he had ever seen at that dealers, oh how we laughed at that. Sales are slow at Christmas and January and February are the slowest times of the year, so if they wont budge walk away, mileage is quite high too

Evans Halshaw run the same principles as Arnold Clark. They go for high volume sales with lower margins. You're unlikely to find a better dealer price and they don't negotiate for that reason

Hi, Russ
The car is Space Grey, I bought it from Sytner Leicester in Sept 2012, Sytner had acquired it from BMW UK where it had been run by one of the managers in their finance company.
The car was traded to Porsche Bolton in Jan 2014 in exchange for a 981 Boxster.
The only thing I can tell you is the back bumper has been resprayed due to a parking scrape (no impact involved), oh and the glitzy pedal covers were on the car when I bought it.

Cheers

That's one hell of a first post Southside - welcome albeit after your Zed ownership or have you been lurking in the shadows?

Anyway glad you joined us - what about a photo when it was in your ownership?

Yes I’ve been lurking here for all that time.
I can’t find any photos of the Z4 but I included a picture of my latest toy to give you a clue to what sites I’m lurking on now. 95A25E00-0435-4004-9B11-A737337AEFA7.jpeg
