anyone insure their Z4 coupe on classic ?

There were many Z4s at the Zedfest at the Silverstone classic a couple of months ago, so it classic by one definition.domsz4 said:
Another vote here for trying Admiral. As a single car, there have been adverts on the radio where the first 30 after midday tomorrow get £300 off. But more realistically for a normal deal, multi-car is worth a try. When buying a new policy but with a third car on it with no NCD, they actually said to me that they could mirror the NCD of one of the other cars to bring the premium down further. If they don't offer it, I would ask.
had a chat with classicline today . seems the advice they gave me when switching to the Z4C regarding not guaranteeing me a renewal was down to the company i was insured with no longer operating in the car market after current contracts expired .
consequently today,s classicline lady seemed hopeful that the new company they use (red star) would offer me a policy but until 30 days before renewal she had no idea how much
things look hopeful i,d say 8) so no getting rid of me just yet

I use Admiral multi car, 3 cars Z4, 2011 120D M Sport, 2011 320D M Sport. All in £1050.
ive not read the other posts so sorry if this is repeated, ill read them later. although i included flux and tbf ive not had a so bad experience with them i would say they have a rep of being a bunch of fuckers when claims are done after an accident

I can confirm Equity Red Star is who Classic Line were going to insure my ///M with, with an increase of just £10 plus the ability to add commuting which I couldnt before. Still has to be garaged between 10PM and 6AM at home address though.
What it does say though if they won't insure your coupe is that roadster are the classics of the future. :evil:

response was good until i said it was 2006 BMW
when there was a stifled snigger

Lowest age on a classic I've ever found was Footman James, any BMW over 10 years of age..

not due for renewal until dec 27th so no idea what classicline will come with but spoke to adrian flux ins this morning .
pretended my insurance was due in 2 weeks & quoted around £500 with no need to use my NCD from main vehicle
can live with that

can live with thatI've been looking lately for my roadster and it looks like Classic Line are by far the best deal. There's a good discount for BMW club membership too
Pretty much halving my first years premium for the M, although a good deal of that seems to be because I turned 30 :|
