Anyone have the wiring diagram for the rear light cluster?

Been thinking of how to fit an LED brake light ring for ages and have had a brainwave after coming across the following parts...

My theory is the brake light bulbs on pre-facelift E85's have two live feeds with one side getting a higher voltage when brake pedal is depressed therefore lighting brighter, so if I connect the live from the ring to both of the live brake output feeds (using the resistors inbetween for error clearing), the ring should light brightly when the brake is pressed as it's getting a high voltage feed. When the lights are on, the ring should light sufficiently bright as it's getting two low voltage feeds and when the brake pedal is depressed, get brighter as more current is being delivered from one of the feeds..... if you follow my drift as it does make sense in my head.

So has anyone got a wiring diagram for the rear light cluster socket so I can connect the ring direct to the socket pins to test my theory regarding voltages and see if it shows any errors on dash?

Also if anyone out there knows about wiring and thinks my idea might work, will I need two low resistor ballast per side as I'll be using two live feeds or can I bridge one?

If it works the summer project will be sourcing a donor set of rear lights for a cut and shut to add LED ring and bulbs.
