Anyone had a cracked wheel fixed?

Had my split rims refurbed a few weeks ago, going to work today, tyre puncture warning light came on. Checked pressure all gone on one wheel, then noticed a large blister in shiny new paint on outer rim.
Suspect a crack, anyone had any issues repairing cracked wheels?

Just make sure you get somewhere reputable to weld it. Maidstone Motoliners have a good rep if you're South.

Notoriously difficult & best using a wheel repair specialist even if the cost loosens the bottom of your wallet :(
Personally i would stay away from any wheels that are cracked or have been cracked , , , they are a recipe for disaster

I haven't had one repaired personally but have purchased a car that I then found was wearing a repaired rim.

The car was 4wd not rear wheel drive and I didn't notice any difference but I changed the wheel anyway as I thought it may well be a weak point if I hit a pothole etc and as I sometimes drive the car "spirited", I didn't want to run the risk

If they are 108's I would suggest getting a used one to refurb, should only cost you around £50 for a used rim to refurb and a repair will be minimum £30 anyway! I think some one on the forum was selling single 108's? Or fleabay, plenty around
