I had. It was driving me spare. A horrible little rattle right next to my right ear hole. I had to investigate, and as the weather was fine yesterday I had a poke about with the top half down (or half up!). I noticed two quite flimsy plastic plates on the outside of the hood mechanism which rattled when I tapped the frame. BMW had fitted some felt pads on one of the plates but it obviously wasn't enough, so I had a dig about in the garage and found these
Some door pins from my old Jag which had foam washers on. The foam washers are a spot on size to go over the pin that the outside plate moves on. The next pic shows where the washer has been fitted, its just stretched over the pin (B). It also shows one of the BMW felt pads (A). I put the lid up and down a few times to see if it caught anywhere and it didn't, so I took it for a drive, bliss!!
