As per the subject, anyone fitted them to their Z4?

Heres the listing on ebay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270907271306?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

They are quite cheap and wondered if anyone had any opinions, they are usualy a budget brand so not sure what the quality of the ride will be like, all opinions welcome :D

thanks

Mike

think the OP is referring to FK's coilover kit and not just the lowering springs.

Doh yes coilovers should have thought

They are cheap :o

I'd say less then half the price of some better known coilovers :o

Although... The normal price of the FK lowering springs are £50 which is a third of the price of some eibachs! then factor in those guys got it for £18... So either the lowering springs offer better value... Or these coilovers are better quality

Sorry OP havent really helped here!!

yea they are very cheap compared to others! thats my worry. Id rather have to save and pay more for a better ride quality, than buy the cheapest and regret it & have to buy another set

My friend fitted FK coilovers to his audi and regretted it and they are now knocking/sqeaking and need replacing. I'd be tempted to spend more on AP's or something similar with a better reputation

thats my thoughts on the fks really, my mate put them on his A3 and apart from them siezing up and not being able to adjust them, they werent to bad. Well ive searched for APs and they come out about just under £600 if i remember correctly. But then is it worth spending a little more and getting Spax or others?

Ap's are made from same s**t as fk's , I had fk's on my audi tt and can't say a bad word about them

ive read into them both & the ap coilovers are TUV approved which is meant to mean better build quality. Ive fitted both to two different cars and the fks wernt the best, but then they were the budget range & not the highsport ones. Not that I know what the difference is lol

Bump: fatmikey i'm considering new shocks and springs for mine and saw the fk set on ebay. What's your opinion on the spax?

Anybody else tried the fk's yet?

the spax rsx coilovers are really good! I had a problem with both rear shockers knocking, but i sent them back to spax & a week later they replaced both for me

but as for how they performed they are perfect! I set them to the height i wanted & adjusted the bump and rebound, even being set really low they werent that harsh at all :D
