Bosch Avantixx 7, not two years old yet. Always had a problem with washing whites and dirt staining during the actual wash.

Tried cleaning inside rubber etc spotlessly beforehand, cleaning powder tray etc; still results in the ruining of whites (the below were brand new!)

Any ideas?!

Has the filter been checked? maybe some coins/debris causing waste water to not drain properly?

I'll check. Could there be a 'water in' issue too do you think?

This , usually at the bottom underneath a clip off panel on the front , could maybe try a drain -pipe unblocker in the waste pipe behind the machine ?

Looks to me like mould on the inside edges of the drum

i would expect it to clear after a few washes tho.

Had this always happened since new?
Do any clothes come out clean?
Is it temp dependant?

Get you fingers in the gaps of the drum edges - you will feel the sw london hard water crud!

Always since new. Clothes do come out clean but every so often this happens. Tried cleaning drum and seal but shall try again and also check the filter.

Not sure if this will make any difference but stick it on a max temp , 90 , wash with a crappy t shirt inside and some calgon de scaler or similar , it may just need a flush through , this worked once for me , wife just reminded me :x

My bosche washing machine did this... I contacted john lewis as it started doing it within 6 months.

They replaced something... And its been fine for over 8 years now.

You can get washing machine cleaners in the supermarkets now. Its a powder that you put in on its own. It made a difference with my machine. I found the product (name escapes me) in the laundry isle.

As suggested, I would contact Bosch if the above does not work.

Put the machine on the hottest wash cycle but with no clothes in and instead of detergent put about half a pint of white vinegar in the soap drawer.
Looks very much like soap scum build up which is usualy collected round about the door rubber, have you checked all round the insides of the door rubber and all round even at the top side?.
Used to be a service engineer for Hoover many moons ago :) .

I usually put my machine on a hot empty cycle every 6 months, seems to do the trick.

Can't understand why you don't just get Bosch warranty to oart it, they are really good, they come with 2 years warranty with them, sometimes more.

'Coz he's a man and real men don't call for help, they don't RTFM, they just get on and fix things... p0133.gif

Every once in a while you have to wash it on the hottest setting to resolve residue powder as well.

Whatever you do, do not do this when your wash mitts are in the machine :D

Had a similar problem with our Bosch, before we swapped to an LG
If you open the Bosch soap tray thingy, and look up at the little holes above, the ones that fill the tray with water to wash the soap out.
Ours got a black sticky deposit up there, which I cleaned out every now and then with a and small Tefal steam cleaner and bit of bent wire
Hope this helps, it's a poor design, on an otherwise good machine
