Any solicitors in the house?

Sounds like you had the perfect ex ........ just proves that not all women have a dark side
She was so perfect he married her!
Well not really that perfect, after I paid the divorce settlement she found out I'd had a girlfriend for the last six years of our marriage and she then tried to overturn the contract but she was to late (thank goodness) I only had to pay the school fee's for my son and daughter which was part of the contract so I was well happy with that. All this was exactly 30 years ago

I then decided that I wouldn't be so lucky a second time if it all went t*t's up, so the (above) girl that I'd been seeing came to live with me in my then new home and she was my common law wife, She signed a pre-nup, which when our relationship ended 10 years later all she got was the new car that I'd bought her the previous year. I was living in my present home at that time and my two daughters stayed with me and had no further contact with her.

So to conclude-I'm quite happy living on my own which I have done since both my daughters left home. I can do whatever I want to whoever without looking over my shoulder all the time, indeed the last time I had my car serviced (60 miles away) I meant to go back home but later that day I decided to spend a few days at the Lake District so I went there instead of going back home which was nice to just please myself
I could have a woman living with me but in my situation I'm not prepared to take the risk, after all why would a woman that's 25+ years younger than me want to live with me? I'm sure it's not for my 12" (I wish) in my opinion a woman just wants security and the more the better. My biggest problem in my earlier years was that I liked cats and I was always chasing pussy
you are living the holy grail..... my current GF is talking about marriage and moving into my house.... i can't lie... id rather stay as we are, she lives at hers, i stay here.... job done.. i have ALOT more to loose, and women change their mind like a switch, i know us men hove our s**t but imo, the ladies of today are very unpredictable , you really need to safe guard yourself.... which is exactly what I'm trying to do.... i have my own stuff... and i plan to keep it that way....

+1 on that, maybe its always been the case but marriage doesn't seem to count for a lot these days. When I split up with my ex not too long ago, it was fine one day then *ping*, like a switch flipped, and it was over. Completely changed person. Never really figured that one out.

Oh and Tom, I thought Crocs were never acceptable, not even in private!

I get a feeling they're work related shoes. They're hot property in surgical theatre staff changing rooms.
Fair play Ruby for trying to give Tom a good excuse for wearing them!

Shhh don't tell them Ruby, everyone will want them. Those and my spongebob socks :-) could always organise a group buy, I saw a group buy earlier for a "specific use sock".
