Hey all,
Has anyone done their clutch recently using the BMW OE TOB and if so, any quality concerns? "Some forums" said the current BMW TOB is also made by LuK and is of lower quality than the factory/OE part (which I think was made by INA).
Soon I'll have my Z4's dual-mass-fly-wheel and clutch replaced and I ended up sourcing an LuK kit (in retrospect I wish I got the Sachs one). I keep reading on various BMW forums the included LuK Throw-out-Bearing is really low quality and has noise issues not long after replacement ; supposedly the Sachs TOB is the way to go for this part. Unfortunately the Sachs TOB part for the Z4 / 3.0si / N52 is not available easily in the US but the BMW OE TOB is.
