I'm toying with selling my Z4MC having been the custodian of it for nearly 15 years and leaning towards an automatic, maybe an M240i. Not really sure how to price it though. It's sapphire black with the red leather interior, 61k miles on the clock.
Good points:
1) Full main dealer service history (apart from brake fluid changes, I get someone else to do those)
2) Still paying for the extended warranty! (Had two blown ABS control units paid for though)
3) 1 owner from new
4) Must be close to full folder of receipts
5) ZHP shift knob and red leather gaiter as well as the LeatherZ door rests
6) Steel-braided brake hoses and EBC yellow pads but otherwise standard. Running on Yokohama AD08R/RS tyres which are fine in anything other than standing water.
7) New battery 3 months ago
Bad points:
1) Next service is inspection 2 if you're going on time, although the dash says 13k miles to go
2) I had the rear bumper repaired after my wife reversed into something. It's a black car so you can't really see it but it could do with a new bumper
3) Steering wheel tab has broken and the wheel itself could do with refreshing
4) Wear to driver's side bolster
5) Could probably do with some new dampers. If I was keeping it I'd probably go with the Bilstein yellows but the standard ride height.
6) Alloys need a refurb
7) Various parking dings caused by other people's doors
8) M badges on the front wings are faded. I bought some stickers to replace them, did the one on the boot but have now lost the other two...
I'm not really sure if it's best to get this stuff done and then sell it, or leave it in its current 'honest' condition for the next owner to do whatever they want with it. I've stuck the details into Motorway and got an offer of £20,082 but obviously they don't have any of the above details.
