Any idea how to remove this?

The flip down bit between the seats is rattling when I go over uneven surfaces. From further investigation it looks to be the section below that has TCU written on it creaking.

Has anyone got a guide on how to remove this so I can try and sort it out? I need to remove the surround piece too the bit with the button on.

theres me thinking you ment the roof!!!!! :poke:

on a serious note, the two screws you can see in pic remove these and then brute force at about 40 degrees and the whole door comes off.

No way my roof would ever come off ;)

Do you have to take the entire door off to take the TCU section out? What happens to the wire I can see connecting the two? I'm not good with brute force as I always end up breaking something. :(

I think that part is an aftermarket bit that comes with the TCU Bluetooth kit from suppliers like Bimmian... that may account for why it is not the best fit (and therefore rattles)...

It's also missing the eject tray, with that inserted it might stop the rattling.

A-ha! Didn't know that... could well be the reason for the rattle

I removed the tray for the photo and it still rattles with it in or out.

I'll have a go with the credit cards down the side although I managed to mangle my spare cards removing the radio ;)

I have factory Bluetooth so I don't think thats an aftermarket part but I'm not 100%. What does everyone else have under the tray? I thought that was where you put a phone dock?

Is that just an excuse to show off your new armrest ;) looks good!

That's what mine looks like too when I've got the tray in. Do you have factory Bluetooth?
