I've added it to my favs list, so I'll keep an eye on it. Hopefully they'll lower the price.

at least they didn't charge you 
Just fitted one to my 2014 zed and one of the options doesn't work as I expected it to, I don't have comfort access but the destructions mention it is still possible to increase boot access with the roof down.
It didn't work on mine. I've been in touch with smarttop support and they don't know why it doesn't, they suspect a change in the later cars that mean they don't understand the instruction sent from the smarttop module.
Everything else works perfectly as advertised and very pleased with the functionality, a bit terrified at first though, especially using it while moving!

With the roof down and comfort access purchased, you can move a section of the roof out of the way in order to more easily access the boot space, with the smarttop you should be able to do the same thing, there are a few threads on here with people making it work on other z4s. I can't get it to work on mine but the smarttop chaps think the newer cars may not accept the code.
Ah I see the 4 second open button, roof lifts out you across the boot and then 4 second key push again for it to stow. I have comfort access never knew this feature existed, but the weathers pants and has been since I picked it up....I've got a smart top to install but thinking I possibly don't really need it to be honest.
Yes, that's the puppy. I was umming and ahing about it myself, but I found myself getting a befuddled trying to shut the roof while driving and negotiating some traffic lights, it's quite handy just pushing the button and forgetting it.
The install was easy peasy too, no problems with the connector for me, however, cable placement afterwards was a bit tricky, I tried to put the cables where they suggested but it's quite a squeeze.

That's the only reason I bought it for the 1 touch opening. Having had convertibles for years it's always been my pet hate.....not a huge thing but enough of a bug....not enough of a bug to not buy another convertible clearly. I'll maybe give it a bash once the weather gets better
