Any good sellers of HTS bolts

I am likely to have to change rear wishbone bushes and springs on my Z4 at some point and when I do I will want to replace all nuts and bolts removed. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of good HTS bolt suppliers at a sensible price. I have googled it and come across tons of stainless bolt suppliers but I am struggling to find good HTS bolt suppliers.

The reason I ask Is I am currently rebuilding the suspension on my Mini and the price BMW charge is crazy. So far I have spent over £120 on nuts, bolts and washers.

I recognise some will be specialist and I will have to buy from BMW, but when pretty standard bolts such as M10 x 1.5mm x 40mm are £3.60 each and you need a shedload of them it starts to get crazy. Today I had to shed out £40 for 6 bolts and 4 washers! to change the rear shocks on my mini.

See if there is a fastener supplier locally, I use these guys http://www.alfast.co.uk , probably nowhere near you but gives you an idea what to look for. Incase you don't know already the real OEM website lists bolt sizes so you can find out what you need before taking it apart.

Out of interest, why are you wanting to change nuts and bolts? Unless they are very corroded or have been shagged with wrong size spanners they would not normally be something you'd expect to change - with the exception of a few specialist applications such as some head bolts which stretch as you torque them.

Regarding corrosion there is a lot to be said for sealing threads with an appropriate Nutlock, grease or Copperease to keep water out. (I'm fastidious about this on my mountain bike - keeps stuff serviceable for way longer).

I replace fasteners when I remove them as well probably overkill but having new bolts has saved me a couple of times when the old ones have sheared.
