I fancy a motorised flip screen in my zed but haven't a clue about the tech they offer. I've found this on Amazon which I think does everything I want but can anyome advise on whether the connections on the back look like they'll fit?

Been meaning to ask this again myself. I fancy one with the GPS option. I'm an electronics bod but know nothing about audio. Last time I asked this all I received was know-all dismissive comments from the audiophiles :x

I've looked and looked and looked again. This one looks nice and understated. I'm not keen on some that have a fairground look about them with loads of unwanted flashing bits and pieces.
It looks like everything like nav etc comes direct from your connected phone which is fine. I'm about to press 'buy it' but just need to know I'll be able to fit it electronically to my 03 plate

1an half stars I'd read the reviews, I know someone that fitted a pumpkin branded unit an was reasonably impressed that was a budget unit

Yeah point taken thanks...its hard to find a decent unit that isn't ridiculously over priced. I know you get what you pay for

If it was me, i personally wouldn't touch any of the less known brands, unless they had extremely good reliable reviews

At least with better known brands you know if theirs software issues you might get upgraded firmware.

I know lad at work got one and it had no ISO connectors so either make your own or cut into all wires for power / speakers

Ok guys this is what i have done.

I bought a media bridge off ebay. Not the same but LaPower do a similar thing. It plugs into the cd changer connectors behind the carpet at the back of the boot via a long extension cable. The unit itself sits in the space behind the roof and seat heater control unit in the centre console.
The unit provides bluetooth phone (mic included) and audio streaming (steering controls still function)
Then i use ibolt dock and drive on my phone mounted portrait in a cd slot holder.
Ibolt starts automatically when it connects to the media bridge.
I then use spotify for music and a satnav app
Its the best solution i have found to get audio streaming and bt phone and keeping the car as oem as possible.
This is what the scrrens on the app look like.

I don't consider myself smart or thick, but I didn't understand a word of that after "I bought".

So have you got a screen on the dash to look at? Even the second explanation shot straight over my head :headbang:

Yes I like this as I too have a Mediabridge. Just a couple of questions:

The connector into the 'phone , is this just for charging or is it the Mediabridge connection ?

What's the app called ?

I found that with my iphone 5 running ios 9 the mediabridge worked OK when connected via the lightning connector.

I now have an iphone 6s and it drives me nuts with the Mediabridge hard wired, pretty crap. I just connect via BT now but this means that I cannot select 'album mode' or 'song mode' I just get some strange playlist mode. Siri also seems to work only intermittently :(

Yes the lead is just for charging and the app is Ibolt dock n drive. The app controls spotify which i use for all my music. Not sure what album or song mode are as mine is android. I do have a usb lead that i could connect the phone directly to the media bridge but i just use Bt.
Phone recognises its connected to the media bridge and starts the app automatically and stops it when disconnected.
