Any 35i owners fuel pump whine ?

Ive noticed that when the tank is full or near full there is a pronounced whine from the fuel pump behind the drivers seat area

Anyone else notice this ? , you mainly notice this at idle or at the lights with the radio off

Not really a major annoyance but wonder if something is on its way out or its normal behaviour
 
The only whine I've experienced in our 35i is from the passenger seat from SWMBO when I utilise the upper limits of the rev. range in sport mode :D
 
BMW's seem to have a lot of fuel pump failures starting with noisy units and they have been mentioned here before

I had the same thing on my 2011 Cooper S strangely enough and was changed under warranty
 
Mine is a 3.0 E89 and i had it done while it was under warranty.
There was a distinct noise but I seem to remember it was at lower fuel levels ?...

It wasn't a loud, but it was a high pitched whine, loud enough once tuned into it!
