Another roof motor bites the dust?

Ah well, can't grumble, as I bought the car for a around £2K below valuation, but the roof, which worked fine on demo and for last few days, prob 20 times, started going slowly, and now the locks disengage and the windows drop, but just silence from the motor :(

I'm gonna try and extract it from the boot as another member did, separate it and clean it up.. Failing that £200 odd is a small price to pay for a new motor I suppose..

Typical when I've just ordered a GapTech module for it!

Roof Motors are going down like Flies at the moment. it must be that time when everyone tries to drop the roof for the first time in 6 months !

The key thing is to keep using the roof regularly all through winter, even if its down & back up immediately every day, plus a regular check that the drains are clear. Nothing seizes whilst its moving..... it only seizes when you try to move it after its been stood !

Move it Move - You gotta Move it Move it !!

Hi my roof motor is also dead. I don't really want to pay the £700-£800 everywhere is quoting me to fix it... You mentioned fishing it through the boot? Do you have any links to how this is done??
Thanks!!
