Another non RFT convert

Bought my Z about a month ago now and loved everything except the slightly scary 'twitchyness' of the ride.

So got my self another set of wheels with non RFT rubber and it has totally transformed the way the car rides and all the better for it.

I originally bought a set of 108's but then saw these 71's....
I really like them... bit of an alternative to the usual 108, CSLs etc...
Excuse pictures and ignore raised rear as ground is cambered and shot taken just after fitting wheel so not settled....

Checked with insurance about the non RFT and all good so no way i'm going back to RFT now... Holts tyre weld/puncture repair and 12v tyre inflater in the boot

Liking the look of the new wheels

As for ditching the run flats, ytrust me you will never look back. When I changed mine, I was really suprised by the total transformation of the ride and handling. :driving:

Are they the same style of wheels that are on the E46 330 Clubsport they do suit the coupe
Had non rft's on both my zeds and they made the drving pleasure so much better, got exactly the same in the boot as a back up but never had to use them yet in anger(touches wood).
great looking coupe by the way.

I really cannot see me going back to RFT now.... however i am now wondering, is it that the Bridgestone RE050 RFT is particularly bad or would all RFT be bad on a Z?
My MSport 1 Series ran on Michelin and Continental RFT and was no way near as bad as the Z so could it be the Bridgestone and the Z are a really bad combo but another RFT would be better?

I do believe the 71's were for the E46 clubsport - i found this site a useful http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/Z
but yes all in all i am very pleased now the new wheels/tyres are on :D
